3 червня 2012 року відійшов з цього світу активний громадський діяч, голова об’єднання “Помаранчева хвиля” у Чикаго, наш колишній хорист і чудова людина Ярослав Загайський.

Пан Ярослав приєднався до нашого хору в далекому 1997 році навесні. У той час нам дуже бракувало басів, і не було, де їх взяти… А тут звідкілясь прийшов нікому невідомий чоловік, скромно сказав, що він баритон, але не дуже сильний, і що хоче до нас приєднатися.
Дуже швидко пан Славко з новачка перетворився в душу нашого товариства – веселий, енергійний, товариський. Без нього не обходилася жодна забава, він був учасником усіх мандрівок, а до того ж сам став організатором різних подій. Найбільше ми усі пам’ятаємо поїздку до Ужгорода на день Незалежності. Досить великий хор їхав у таку далеку дорогу через перевал у маленькому автобусі-чобітку з додатковими сидіннями-дошками. Було тісно, але дуже весело, а враження залишилися досьогодні…

Пан Славко був нашим хористом лише трохи більше як півроку, проте за цей короткий час він став настільки близьким кожному з нас, що ми до тепер пам’ятаємо його і вважаємо його Своїм. Того ж 1997 року він виїхав до США, проте зв’язок не перервався: він телефонував, вітав з днями народження, помагав фінансово, вів електронне листування з хористами, а у кожен свій приїзд до Львова він обов’язково зустрічався з нами у церкві чи на репетиції.
3 червня 2012 року пана Славка не стало… Кажуть, кого Бог забирає з цього світу на велике свято, той має перед Ним великі заслуги. Пан Ярослав відійшов на саме свято Зіслання Святого Духа. Його життя, віддане українському народові, можна сміливо назвати взірцем для доброго українця.
Молимося за упокій душі Ярослава Загайського, сумуємо і висловлюємо співчуття матері, родині та близьким.
